What are you loving this week???
My friends son got his first moose....big deal when that is their food for a year.
ReplyDeleteMy son decided to climb in bed with me to homeschool when I was to tired to sit at the table.
This is all great stuff. I love that you live where people are good at providing for themselves. And isn't it great that kids just seem to know what we need sometimes?!
DeleteIt's been a good week! So glad that the homeschooling is going well and that Nathan is loving it!!!
ReplyDeleteThings have worked out with the homeschooling so great, so far! I'm glad to see how much fun you've been having in Vegas!
DeleteWe can only have community yard sales where I live and I missed our summer sale due to traveling. I really need to have a garage sale! I would be loving getting rid of some stuff if I could do it.

Tossing It Out
Luckily our HOA here is pretty low key as I have been truly enjoying this getting rid of stuff. It is so freeing to be able to free yourself of too much stuff!
DeleteYou could donate and take the tax write off. I have been known to do that as well.
We give a lot to Goodwill to take the tax write-off. Still there are some things that I'd prefer to sell and many of those Goodwill doesn't take. I'd like to make a few bucks myself if I could. I'm working on posting on Craig's List but responses haven't been as good as they were a few years ago when I did this. I think times are tougher and people are buying as much as they are selling.

Tossing It Out
My favorite one of yours is the first one of the ocd man you met at your garage sale who fixed your computer. I just had to buy a new computer but it's still in the box. Wish I could have met him too. LOL
ReplyDeleteHe was so funny. He was willing to look at a computer just about anywhere- even clear across town for somebody he talked to at our sale. He told us he was like the Johnny Appleseed of computers. Maybe he'll make it out your way some time. Getting and setting up a new computer is so annoying...
DeleteJohnny Appleseed of computers. I really love that. We should all be Johnny Appleseeds of something. This guy must have really missed his computer if he was traveling. Mine must be Johnny Appleseed of dance as I don't charge. I love to pass on my dance knowledge. Maybe I'm doing trees too. I planted 13 trees this summer and have 3 coming from seed.
DeleteMay you be enjoying a perfect weekend.
What a lovely, happy post! Yay!
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for you- it looks like the important things are working out!
DeleteI love this post. And you are right. We don't need a lot of "stuff."
ReplyDeleteOh. so lucky meeting that guy and having your computer fixed!
