If a man is running for President and he surmises that 47% of the people are in his corner and 47% of the people are in the other guy's corner, it is pretty obvious he should focus his campaign on persuading the remaining 6%, if he wants to win the election.
Romney did not suggest that he does not care about half the American population. That's ridiculous, and anyone who sincerely believes that should come to Florida where Walt has given us Fantasyland. If someone does not agree with his political ideology, then he or she should indicate why there is disagreement. Name calling is ignorant. Unfortunately, too many Americans will vote in this election without a clue as to the issues. Forget ID cards. A course in Economics 101 should be the requirement for voting.
