El Paso Chihuahuas!

My husband is a huge sports fan.  Just about any sport.  Just about any time.  Just about anything pertaining to sports at all, really.

He is very excited today about a new name for a AAA baseball feeder team for the San Diego Padres.  When the team moved from Tuscon, Arizona to El Paso, Texas, they needed to rename themselves.  They chose the name: Chihuahuas.

My husband loves sports, especially baseball.  My husband loves our little tan chihuahua.  His initials are EP.

So of course he loves this:

Our little guy, Tanner, thinks he's plenty feisty enough and wants to know if he can play too!

  1. Sometimes the stars just align. EP + Chihuahuas = Perfection.

That little Tanner makes me long for a puppy each time I see him...

    1. I love it when something cool happens that makes my husband happy. He is so generous and he deserves everything that is good.
Tanner is such a joy. You will love him. I know you will meet him one day. He's getting over his stranger shyness slowly, but surely. Hopefully he will be ready to jump into your arms by the time you see him.

  2. I like the logo. What a tough looking chihuahua.
Your little Tanner is very cute. And he looks so tiny!

  3. Tanner can get a tough look on when he really wants to. You are right though. He is tiny. He maxed out at less than 6 pounds! Everyone we meet tells us what a great face he has. We think he's pretty darn cute.

    1. While I'm not really a fan of El Paso as a place, I could probably learn to love being somewhere with lots of chihuahuas!

    1. That little red soft ball used to be our Parker's ball and one day Tanner found it and started fetching just like our Parker always loved to. I've been told not many chihuahuas will fetch, so I can believe he could also be one of those rare Red Sox fan chihuahuas as well.

  6. I didn't know you had a chihuahua. Tanner looks exactly like the love of my life.... Wetoe....he died 3 years ago at age 16. I love, love, love, love chihuahuas. I have all the "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" and watch them over and over. I still have Cody, a rescue border collie/aussie mix and they are great but nothing can come close to a chihuahua for me. Wetoe was my 4th chihuahua during my life. I'll not get another.
That is such a dear post and I can relate to all of it. My husband loved the AAA teams too. That is how we ended up in Helena. My husband said we would get a place in Montana but the city had to have baseball. I had wanted Bozeman because my relatives live there but it didn't have a ball team. Here's to the winning next season for the Chihuahuas.

    1. I remember you mentioning your special love of your little chihuahua. I am understanding every day more and more what a joy these little ones are. Tanner brings a spark to my life that is certainly something more than I ever expected.
