Music speaks to my soul; always has.
From my overcooked by 3 and 1/2 weeks journey in the womb- always responding immediately to any upbeat tune that came through an old transistor radio to the experiences I've shared as a member of an 80 piece symphonic band, and every musical experience and genre in between, music has always been a part of who I am.
I once met a doctor who deemed that music was just frivolous and unneeded. I knew I would never trust him with anything regarding my health. Although I was born with hearing issues that required surgical repair, I
can certainly speak to the fact that the vibrations and patterns in music are
life blood and I feel sorry for someone who doesn't get that life without music is certainly missing something.
With a love of music in mind, I am starting a new feature here on my blog. I will be posting something musical on Mondays, as often as I can. I am hoping to find lots of different musical aspects to touch upon.
For today, as an opening to my Musical Monday feature, I will leave you with a video for a song that I found while looking around for new stuff to add to my mp3 player that I use for my daily 'dance breaks'. This song is an example of a typical easy going Zac Brown Band deal that speaks to where I am in life right now and it's got a great, fun beat.
Music makes my oldest's world go 'round!
ReplyDeleteMusic is such an amazing thing- you can relive a feeling, share an understanding, work through difficulties and more. Music is just something that I could never live without.
DeleteSounds like Montana music too. I always look at all the electrical equipment they have to set up before a concert. That is a pain to do, as my granddaughter has a band and I watched her set up. Right now I'm looking at lights and cords and sandbags for my videos. With all my moving this summer, a lot of the pieces of electric stuff got lost.
ReplyDeleteGood idea, music. When are you moving to California?
Have a musical week.
A good beat, a country feel. All good stuff.
DeleteThe equipment thing is a bit cumbersome. I guess that's what it takes to get the sound out to the masses. Hope you find what you're looking for.
We will move to California by next Spring. My husband is currently working with a company near the beach outside L.A., but honestly I don't think this is the one for us. Too bad- I do love the beach. Whatever way, there are lots more opportunities for jobs in his field in Southern CA and I'm confident that we can get this done no later than Springtime next year. I'm putting it out there in the universe as our goal and I'm making it happen!

DeleteYou can most likely feel in your gut where you should live. I always did too, but then my playing around with astrology all my life verifies what I already feel. I could never live on the West coast..... my Saturn line runs there. This as as close as I can get. Florida was a romantic place for me..... my Venus line, and that was where I got married. Minneapolis has my Jupiter line and that is lucky for me. It was too.... made good at the casino. I hope the universe shows you your way too.
Music is soothing to my soul. Love this song, by the way! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's cool and easy. And it fits my life right now to a T!
DeleteLove this. Yeah, just let it go.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't trust the doctor either. The Zac Brown Band is terrific. I love the band, which is a must if you live in Florida or Georgia. Good pick!
